“New Orleans Live” is a hot and sultry cooking show Creole style. With the bluesy downtown sounds of New Orleans ringing in your ears, you can watch this mouthwatering show in HDTV. New Orleans own Bernie Cyrus along with sexy Christie Hughes take you on an eating excursion you won’t forget. America’s best cuisine wrapped in America’s best music…. Louisiana’s very own Music Man, world-renowned Bernie Cyrus, former Music Commissioner and award-winning host of "New Orleans After Midnight" and "LTV". Whether he’s jamming with local legends or opening for Leon Russell, Bernie is pure New Orleans, having spent childhood summers and the last decade living on the North shore. After 30 years in radio and television, this is his first crack at a drive-time talk show, and Bernie’s ready to bring everything to the table.
Bernie grew up between Arts and Music streets, married a girl born on Music street, has two sons in the industry, and has helped dozens of young artists get started. Bernie has been involved in causes as diverse as the design and promotion of Louisiana’s State quarter and the renovation of the oldest Jazz Hall in the World, the Dew Drop Dance Hall. In his 30-plus years in the music business, he’s produced and hosted over 300 TV and radio shows. With a background that also includes 7-plus years in telecommunications, 5 years as an educator and a stint at the St. Tammany’s D.A. office, Bernie can’t wait to air his views on music, business, law, education local politics and more on the all new WGSO.
Christie Hughes is a southerner by birth and a native of New Orleans by the “Grace of God”.

By restoring old New Orleans homes, Christie has made her contribution in adding culture to the New Orleans area. She has appeared in several movies and television shows including; LTV and New Orleans After Midnight. Hosting her own talk show on WTIX called Rambalaya, which featured musicians and some of New Orleans most famous restaurants. Christie is an artist in her own right, as a philanthropist working in large abstract paintings she has donated several of her pieces to various New Orleans charities.
Christie has been a spokeswoman for the House of Blues and is well suited to use her musical contacts to bring an authentic taste of Blues into the final product of “New Orleans Live."
